RALEIGH - Michael Buble is most often compared to Frank Sinatra, but don’t let the clean cut image fool you -- he is also quite the comedian.

Buble’s visit to the RBC Center in Raleigh on Friday, July 9th did not disappoint as he played to a packed house.

From beginning to end, the audience was enthusiastic throughout the show.  Naturally 7, a seven piece acapella group who replicate a variety of instruments with their voices, opened the show.

Buble’s set opened with the curtains being drawn to reveal Buble and his 13 piece band.  His first song was “Cry Me A River,” proving his vocal abilities from the very beginning and reassuring fans that it would be a spectacular evening.

After a few songs, he had an entertaining chat.  He made a few local references, including a joke about Clay Aiken, and he also encouraged the audience to get up and dance during the show.

Buble and his group wore suits and ties for the concert, seemingly inspired by the crooners of yesteryear.

Classics that Buble sang included “George On My Mind,” and even “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” by Poison and “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynrd.

Buble started his “Crazy Love” tour back in March and is still going strong.  His album by the same name was released last October and is a tour de force exhibiting Buble’s considerable talents.
