RALEIGH -
Organizer Peter Pagano of the TirNaNog Irish Pub said that this year’s run is the biggest yet. The warm weather also helped to draw a large crowd of runners and spectators to the outdoor event.
Runners enjoyed food, beer, and activities for the whole family as well as music after the run. Many of the runners dressed up in outlandish costumes including people who wearing full Scottish kilts while running or others who were dressed up as Irish leprechauns.
The Wake County pipe and drum band was also on hand with bagpipes to send the runners off on their way at the start of the race.
